Yesterday, I launched my free 7 (short) video training series to help you to ignite your fired-up life.
The first video invites you to dream about what you want to be, do, have and achieve in your life.
It’s a FUN exercise that gives you full permission to dream from an uplifted “I can do anything” space.
So far, I have had two women come back to me saying “but I have no idea what I want, that’s the problem”.
As I said to them both, it’s not uncommon to feel that way.
But I wanted to share some insights that can help you to loosen the velcro on the stuckness.
Accept that right now you are unsure of what you want and avoid the temptation to feel frustrated about that or to get down on yourself.
The exercise may bring up anger or fear – ‘if I really stop to think about this, I will have to face all the regret in my life for things I should have done and didn’t. I hate these kind of exercises, they just make me feel like a failure.. And I hate Niamh because she reminds me of that and anyway we need to just get real about how impossible it all is” lol.
If you catch some thoughts like that, take a deep breath, release it and give yourself a big dose of compassion.
Then take a chill pill.
The past is in the past.
We all ‘would have, could have, should have’ done some things differently.. but we didn’t. It is what it is right now.. And that’s ALL IT IS.
Also, the future is in the future. Writing your dreams down right now does not mean that you need to immediately quit your job tomorrow or start eating seaweed!
The ego thrives on this kind of mind drama.
So don’t let it.
Trust that you are on the perfect path for the life experience you need… and remember.. The next chapter of the book of your life is not yet written. The very next page is blank. Something amazing might actually happen if you are open to it. And that’s exciting!
Rather than some random stuff appearing on those pages, why not focus your mind and intention on chapters that would light you up?
Another reason that you may be having resistance is because of a feeling of unworthiness (who am I to be, do or have that?) or because you feel it is sinful to dream when there are wars in the world.
I hear you.
But the best thing that you can do for the world is to be an emitter of positive energy in it.
When you feel joyful and abundant, you attract joy and abundance into your life. You can then use that abundance to have a positive impact in the world.
So when you are feeling LIGHT, fun and your ego has slipped out for a moment, quickly grab your pen and paper and get to work.
Because here’s the thing – once you start, you may discover that there is no stopping you with all the possibilities that enter your head (and If that’s not the case, that’s okay too, just allow whatever comes up to come up).
Once you allow yourself to dream and choose to HAVE FUN with it, you might surprise yourself with what gets put on that paper!
And I’m not kidding when I say that it might actually change your life. It would not be the first time that someone came back to me and said ‘that exercise totally changed the course of my life Niamh”.
I don’t want you to get your hopes up for something dramatic happening the first time that you complete the exercise.
You might need to do it a few times before you start to get clear on what it is you truly want.
But you won’t know until you do it.
You are worthy of your dreams.
They are there for a reason.
Think about it.
There is a reason why those seeds are inside of us.
What if you planted that seed and took really good care of it so it blossomed into something amazing?
Now get to it.. quickly.. before your ego tries to talk you out of it ;-).
And when you finish the exercise – congratulate yourself!
Share what you wrote or typed with me, I’d love to read it!
